April 10, 2024 – ELKHART, INDIANA: Medix Specialty Vehicles, a leader in ambulance manufacturing, will display three uniquely built ambulances at FDIC 2024: the MSV-II 170 and 157 Type I’s, and the Metro Express 166 Type III. With more than two decades in ambulance manufacturing, Medix ambulances have earned the reputation of safety and reliability while their functional and repeatable designs make them ideal for any organization or application.
“We prioritize people in everything we do at Medix, ensuring durable and safe ambulances that protect both patients and crews,” said Rob Eichorst, Vice President, Sales. “We’re looking forward to the opportunity to return to FDIC where we can continue to educate attendees on what makes Medix stand out from the rest. We appreciate the forum to highlight our commitment to the emergency providers and first responders to provide them with safe, reliable, and quality built ambulances.”
Medix Specialty Vehicles is a market price leader and has one of the industry’s top speeds to market, making them perfect for those looking for Type I, Type II, and Type III ambulances that get the job done. The manufacturer will display three of their nine ambulance options during FDIC 2024.
The largest ambulance on display is an MSV-II 170 Type I built on a Ford F450. The stock unit from Danko Emergency Vehicles features a built-in, locking medication cabinet, an optional hot weather HVAC package, and a Liquid Spring Suspension. The MSV-II 170 Type I is built at 170” x 96” with 72” headroom. The ambulance is a great example of the type of stock units the Medix dealers keep in inventory to enhance the speed to market.
Presented in collaboration with Poudre Valley Healthcare from Fort Collins, Colorado, the MSV-II 157 Type I ambulance is mounted on a RAM 4500 chassis. It showcases features such as a LiquidSpring Suspension, a Buckstop Replacement Bumper/Grille Guard, blue cabinet lighting to calm patients, and a Stryker Power-LOAD System. The MSV-II 157 Type I is 157” x 96” with 72” headroom. This ambulance was provided thanks to the customer and Danko Emergency Vehicles.
The third ambulance displayed is built on a Ford E450 chassis; the Medix’s Metro Express 166 Type III was produced for Heard County Fire & Emergency Services in Franklin, Georgia, and First Class Emergency Vehicles facilitated the sale. The key features include a dual oxygen tank for extended transport, an optional hot weather HVAC package, a patient module camera, a roll-up security door on the ALS cabinet, and custom paint and graphics. The ME 166 Type III is built at 166” x 94” with 72” headroom.
All three units on display will feature an EVS Pro-4 Four Point Single Click Belt with Four Retractors and Medix’s D-shaped paddle handles, which are designed for efficiency and safety on the job. Attendees can experience both features on interactive displays outside the ambulances.
Attendees are welcome to join Medix on April 18-20, 2024, in Booth #5446 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
